Funeral services for Alejandra C. Alcozer, 82, of Belton will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton with Father John Kim officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
Mrs. Alcozer passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Buda on April 24, 1934 to the late Frutoso & Micaela (Hernandez) Cortez. She married Ramon Alcozer in New Mexico on May 13, 1956. She worked for Pittman's Cleaners, Stagecoach Inn and Superior Chair Craft before her retirement. She has lived in the Belton area for 52 years.
Alejandra loved dancing, playing bingo and spending time with her family. She always lived life to the fullest and was there to support her family in any way she could. Alejandra was a beautiful lady and always looked her best, even in her last days she looked like an angel.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lee Roy Alcozer; her parents, Frutoso & Micaela Cortez; her brother, Guadalupe Cortez and a sister, Victoria Soto.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ramon Alcozer of Belton; sons, Raymond Alcozer, Jr. and wife Adelfa, Pedro Alcozer, Benito Alcozer, and Ernest Alcozer all of Belton and Greg Alcozer-Aleman and wife Dawna of Temple; daughters, Norma Alcozer of Belton, Nora Searles of Temple and Nancy Schuster and husband Darryl of The Woodlands; a brother, Pedro Cortez of Odessa; sisters, Martha Leija of New Mexico, Trina Rejino of Levelland, and Clemencia Flores of Arlington; 19 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved dogs.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with a rosary being recited at 7 pm.
