Michael Shane Pierce, Jr., age 24 of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, previously from Temple, Texas, passed from this life Sunday, April 16, 2023. Services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023, with a visitation starting at 12 noon and funeral at 2 pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton. A reception in Michael’s honor will be held at VFW Post #10377, 4 Woodland Trail Belton TX 76513, following his services.
Michael was born on May 7, 1998, to Michael Pierce, Sr. and Tonya Webber in El Paso, Texas. He was lucky to be raised by two Moms, Belinda Means Allen, and Lisa Pierce, who loved him as their own. Michael was in ROTC most of his high school days and it made a big impact on his life even after graduation from Belton High School in 2017. Michael was a very loving young man who wore his heart on his sleeve. He was caring, and always put others first. He was always there for a friend in need, no matter what. Michael led a fun, full life, traveling, collecting rocks, driftwood, and other interesting things he would find. Michael collected knives of all sorts and had quite an impressive collection. He enjoyed skateboarding, cooking, and building things. He spent time hiking and exploring nature and even taught his beloved cat, Alucard, to walk on a leash so they could explore together. Michael was often found tinkering on cars, fishing with Will Cavitt, and spending time with his brother, Garrett. Family was very important to him, and he had fond memories of spending time with his dad, riding on motorcycles when he was younger and going to the shooting range. Michael moved to Arkansas and worked at The Cat House Lounge and the Pied Piper Pub & Inn in Eureka Springs, where he was a jack-of-all-trades, performing different tasks, positions, and tackling many responsibilities.
He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family who love him deeply. Survivors include his parents, Michael Sr. and Lisa Pierce, as well as Belinda Means Allen; brother, Garrett Michael Pierce; half-sister, Brynna Edwards and biological Mother, Tonya Webber-Loveless; grandparents, Bill and Gene Pierce; nephew, Gage Landon Pierce, and close family friendand second Dad, Will Cavitt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michael’s honor to integralcare.org, a local mental health crisis organization in Austin, Texas.
