Ronda Montgomery

Ronda Lynne Montgomery, age 47 of Belton, passed from this life Friday, January 6, 2023, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday, January 13, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Belton. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.

Ronda was born on April 19, 1975, to Ronnie and Jonlene (Odstrcil) Shortridge in Temple, Texas. She held a BBA in Accounting and Business Management and worked for 20 years for Bell County and 1 year for the City of Temple. Ronda enjoyed spending time with her family and doing arts and crafts. She was a team mom for her children’s softball and baseball teams. Ronda also participated as Treasurer for the Belton Youth Softball Association. She loved gardening and playing Candy Crush. Ronda was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Ronda is preceded in death by her mother, Jonlene Shortridge; and father in law, Monty Montgomery.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her father, Ronnie Shortridge and wife, Donna; husband, Jay Montgomery; brothers, Chris Shortridge and wife, Jill, and Lee Bender and wife, Stacy; sisters, Lesley Blount and husband, Nick, and Michelle Hoffman; son, Jonathan Blake Montgomery; and daughter, Jenna Lynne Montgomery.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
