Alex J. Trevino, age 31, of Belton, passed from this life Thursday, August 7, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery. A time of visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 15, at the funeral home.
Alex was born on March 29, 1994, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Diagnosed at birth with dwarfism, Alex never let his condition define him or hold him back. He graduated from Belton High School in 2014.
A devoted father, Alex welcomed his daughter, Fernanda Trevino, into the world on July 1, 2018, in Mexico. He was also the youngest of his three maternal brothers.
Throughout his life, Alex enjoyed playing football, baseball, basketball, cross-country, and kickboxing. He was the person everyone called when they needed a helping hand or a companion for a road trip. To his nieces, nephews, and younger cousins, he was the best babysitter - always ready to let them eat candy and watch their favorite YouTube shows.
Alex was an organ donor, and although his condition ultimately prevented donation at the end of his life, his giving spirit never wavered.
Since birth, Alex was a fighter - determined to be seen as an equal to his peers and to live life to the fullest. Known for his humor and playful teasing, “little Alex” brought laughter wherever he went. He loved to travel, try new things, and embrace every adventure. Though small in stature, he was an older, wiser cousin and a big presence in the lives of all who knew him.
Alex will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to share in his life.
