Alice Stone

Funeral services for Alice L. Stone, 91, of Austin, formerly of Temple, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton.
Mrs. Stone passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at a nursing facility in Austin.
Alice was born on July 21, 1925 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late George E. and Katherine A. (LaCovey) Lindsay. She attended school in New Jersey and graduated high school in Mineola, New York. She then graduated from Bellview School of Nursing in New York City. Alice worked as a registered nurse in Montana, New York, Colorado and Texas. She retired from the Olin E. Teague Veterans Hospital in Temple after more than 25 years of caring for our veterans. Alice married Dorman Brooks Stone on December 4, 1954 in Kerrville, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2001. She was a lifelong member of the Beta-Sigma-Pi.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy A. Stone; her son, Donald B. Stone and a brother, Peter W. Bertonis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday starting at 12pm in the chapel.
