Funeral services for Alicia Marquez, 58, of Belton will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
She passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at an Abilene hospital.
Alicia was born on February 10, 1959 in Mexico to Antonio Marquez and Angelica Reyes. She was raised in Mexico and moved to the United States 38 years ago. She was a Catholic.
Alicia had a very strong sense of faith, she enjoyed reading her Bible and firmly believed in the power of prayer. She was a very loving and giving person with a compassionate and generous soul. Alicia enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Survivors include her mother, Angelica Marquez of Belton; 4 sons, Jesus Marquez of Belton, Jose Martinez of Arkansas, Luis Martinez and Osbaldo Martinez both of Garden City, KS; 3 daughters, Christina Martinez, Mayra Martinez and Laura Martinez all of Garden City, KS; 4 brothers, Carlos Marquez, Antonio Marquez, Jr., and Francisco Marquez all of Mexico, and Fernando Marquez of Belton; 6 sisters, Teresa Felix, Angie Guzman, Veronica Valenzuela, Norma Esparza and Sandra Jimenez all of Belton and Rebeca Chavez of Temple; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8pm on Friday, April 28, 2017 with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7pm.
