Amy Ruth Louton Emmons passed away on June 4, 2013 in Georgetown, Texas.

She was born on December 15, 1919 in Providence Community, Smith County, Texas, to George H. and Effie Lee Louton. Amy Ruth grew up in Silver Lake, Texas, and graduated from Van High School. After high school, Amy Ruth moved to Dallas where she worked for the Gulf Oil Company and retired from R.L. Polk Company. There she met and married Lloyd T. Emmons. She resided in Dallas where she was a faithful member of the Cliff Temple Baptist Church. To be closer to her family Amy Ruth later moved to the Wesleyan Home Georgetown, Texas.

Amy Ruth was a woman of God who practiced the Christian faith and ideals on a daily basis. She was a faithful wife and loving mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd in 1991.

She is survived by a son and daughterinlaw, Tommy and Sandra Emmons, of Salado, Texas, one grandson, Zachary K. Emmons of Houston, nephew John N. Emmons, and niece Terry Franks. Her kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Services will be held at Heartfield Funeral Chapel on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at 3:00 pm, followed by burial in Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas on Monday, June 10, 2013, at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Amy Ruths name to the charity of choice or to the Wesleyan Home in Georgetown, Texas, 2001 Scenic Drive, Georgetown, TX 78627.
