Anna Parten

Services for Anna Maria Westrich Parten, 75, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, 21 March, at the Belton Church of Christ in Belton with Joe Baisden officiating. She will be cremated, with resting place in Prairie Hill, Texas.

Anna Marie, and her twin sister, Hedy, were born in Zweibruecken, Germany on 28 November 1938 to Elsa and Eugen Westrich. She was married to Sgt James E. Parten, U.S. Army, on 13 April 1965, in Frankfurt, West Germany.

Anna Marie arrived in America in March 1967 with her husband and son. She became an American citizen in 1970. She was a Christian and attended the Belton Church of Christ, where she became a member. She was a Christian Mother and Wife. For the past 14 years, Anna Marie was cared for by her husband, Jim, after she was injured in an auto collision which totally disabled her.

She passed from this life in her sleep, 18 March 2014.

Anna Marie is survived by her husband, James E. Parten, two sons, James L.A. Parten and wife, Christienne Parten, Jonas E.M. Parten and wife Laura Parten, one daughter, Jennifer MC Parten, all of Austin Texas. Four grandchildren, Jacob Michael Parten, John Parker Parten, Anna Maria Landry Parten, and Elias Elcott Parten, also of Austin Texas.

She is further survived by her brother Paul Ludwig Westrich and his children, Jorg and Tanja and other relatives in Germany.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to your favorite charity.

Heartfield Funeral Home is in Charge of Services.
