Barbara Rutledge

Mrs. Barbara Inez Pruitt Rutledge, age 75, of Belton passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019.  A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton.

Barbara was born on August 4, 1944 to Curtis and Florine Lawson Pruitt in Little River, Texas.  Barbara loved playing bingo, helping people, working in the flower beds and in her yard at home, listening to windchimes, but especially spending time with her family and children.  She was a very loving matriarch of the family, hosting many meals and BBQ’s to have the family together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruce E. Rutledge; three brothers, Lonnie, Jimmy, and David Pruitt; two sisters, Kathy Falkenberg and Connie Lee Pruitt; niece, Ruth Ann McKenzie; two nephews, Jimmy Lee Pruitt, Jr. (AKA Big Bubba) and Lonnie Pruitt, Jr. (AKA Bear).

Those left to cherish her memories are her three sons, Curtis Johnson, Jerry Meredith, and Robert Newton; two daughters, Teresa Chardt and Barbara Rembacki; grandson/son, Christopher Smith; three grandsons, Alan S. Rembacki, Jr., Andrew S. Rembacki, and Aaron S. Rembacki; sister, Johnnie Pruitt; many other grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; also many other family and friends are left to cherish her memories.
