Funeral services for Billie M. Diamond, 88, of Nolanville will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton with Pastor Joe Daggs officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nolanville.
She passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at a local care facility.
Billie was born April 17, 1930 in Osceola, Texas to Daniel Eddington and Beulah B. (Ballard) Malone. She married Jay Diamond on July 19, 1969. Together they owned and operated The Diamond Shop jewelry store in DeSoto for many years. Billie moved to Nolanville over twenty-five years ago. She was a member of Maxdale Cowboy Church. Billie loved animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed dancing, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Aunt Billie will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, as well as her brothers and sisters; Murline Young, Jim Addie Malone, Dana Edward Malone, Mildred Vernell Layne, Jack Malone and Gerald Malone.
Survivors include her special niece and caregiver, Teresa Kight and husband Carl; and their children, Bart Kight, Lacee & Reid Sill and grandson, C.J. Kight. She is also survived by nephews Merle Hilliard and wife Marla, Earl Hilliard and Guy Hilliard and wife Brandy and their families, along with many loving nieces and nephews and family members.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the funeral home.
