Billy Jearold (B.J.) Stanley

Billy Jearold (B.J.) Stanley, born February 6, 1932 in Jayton, Tx passed away April 10, 2020 at 88 years of age after a brief illness. He was a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather. B.J. was honored to serve in the Korean War. He also was gratified to have been Sheriff of Kent County, Texas. He moved to Belton, Tx in 1972. He married Marilyn Moses July 4, 1972. Together they owned and operated Belton Mobile Home for more than twenty years.

He is survived by daughter, Michelle Stanley of Belton; stepdaughters, Karen Eicher and husband Dennis of Indianapolis, In; Pam Faust of Dallas Tx; and Shelly Moses of Atlanta, Ga. He is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Stanley of Lubbock, Tx; his second wife, Marilyn Stanley of Belton, Tx; father, Bill Stanley of Franklin, Tx; mother, Gladys Cobbs of Sweetwater, Tx; son, Mitchell Stanley of Belton, Tx; sister, Cherrie Hoyle of Colorado City, Tx; and brother, William R. Stanley “Fat Cat” of Belton, Tx.

B.J. had many friends. He loved to travel, play dominoes and bingo. He was a kind, gentle and caring man. He loved the Lord and spoke recently with friends and family that he was ready to go to his Eternal Home. He will be dearly missed by family and dear friends.

The family will have a private service and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
