Memorial Visitation for Bobby Doyle Tubbs Sr., 77, of Belton, will be held from 3 to 5 PM Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Belton, 503 N. Main Street.
Bobby passed from this life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at home while surrounded by his beloved family. Mr. Tubbs was born on June 26, 1941 in Humnoke, AR to Charles L. and Carmen Tubbs.
Mr. Tubbs has lived in the Central Texas area for over forty-five years. Prior to living in Central Texas permanently he was in the United States Army for many years. He lived in such places as Japan and Turkey after his time in the Vietnam War. After Bobby's retirement from the Army he was a car salesman in Killeen for many years. Family was his whole life. Losing his father to World War II when he was a boy made a profound impact on his life. That event inspired him to be the ultimate provider of love and care for his family. He had an especially close bond with all of his grandchildren. Bobby will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard George; and two sisters, Charla Farmer, Stella George; as well as two great-grandchildren.
Those left to honor and cherish Bobby's memory are his beloved wife, Suzan Marie Tubbs; sons, Robert Tubbs and his wife, Karol, Brian Huth Sr., and Bobby Tubbs Jr. and his wife, Myra; daughters, Deborah Kee, Kelly Wright and husband, Scott, and Michelle Huth; and brother, Archie George; as well as seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
