Bruce Hicks

Bruce Allen Hicks, 73, was born May 15, 1940 in Burnett, TX to Louis and Mildred Hicks. A visitation will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 from 68 at Heartfield Funeral Home. The service will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 10 in the Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Burnett Cemetery.

He grew up and graduated in Belton. After college Bruce joined the Navy and worked in aviation electronics and at NASA as a computer tech.

He was a member of the CenTex Road Riders motorcycle club where he most enjoyed working with Toys for Tots.

Bruce was a mason and a member of the Elm Grove Church of Belton where he taught Sunday school to the men and was a deacon of the church.

Until retirement Bruce was a truck driver but most of all his most important role in life was as a husband, father, and grandfather. On June 27, 2013 Bruce went home to be with his lord and savior.

He is survived by his loving wife Ruth Hicks two sons, Peter Hicks of Houston and James Hicks of Moffit three daughters, Angela Williamson of Belton, Beverly Gallion of Troy, and Casey Wright of Temple 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He shall be dearly loved and missed.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Helping Hands Ministry of Belton.
