Bruce Rutledge

A memorial service for Bruce Edward Rutledge, 52, of Belton will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton. The family will receive visitors starting at noon.
He passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at his home.
Bruce was born June 13, 1965 in San Bernardino, CA to William Rutledge and Georgia Boyd. He served in the US Army for 8 eight years with 2 tours in Desert Storm and was stationed in Germany and Fort Hood. He married Barbara Pruitt on October 30, 1993 in Belton. He worked as a truck driver for Norman Lumber Company for 10 years.
Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bryan Rutledge.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Rutledge of Belton; his mother and step-father, Georgia and Phil Cordova of California; step-sons, Jerry Meredith, Robby Newton, Chris Smith and Curtis Johnson, Jr. all of Belton; step-daughters, Barbie Rembacki of Belton, Teresa Chardt of Arkansas and Laura Hill of Belton; and 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
