Cecilia Guzman

November 27, 1957 — April 8, 2017

Cecilia was born on November 27, 1957 in Piedras Negras, Mexico to the late Estanislado and Margarita (Garcia) Carrizales. She was raised in Mexico and moved to Belton in 1986. Cecilia married Jose Guzman on February 25, 1979 in Piedras Negras, Mexico. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.
Mrs. Guzman passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at a local hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Cecilia will be remembered as the loving wife, mother and grandmother that she always was. She was kind and good and sensitive to others needs. She took care of everyone, family, friend or stranger you were always welcome in her home. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cooking for her family. She also loved animals, especially birds and dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Guzman; sons, Jose Guzman Jr. and wife Andrea, Miguel Guzman, Armando Guzman and wife Alicia; a daughter, Laura Aguilar and husband Pablo; a brother, Estanislado Garcia; and 12 beloved grandchildren, Bibiana, Jose, Juan, Julian, Jacob, Arianna, Pablo, Alex, Analise, Jonathon, Kenneth and Rosalinda.
Funeral mass for Cecilia Guadalupe Guzman, 59, of Belton will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton with Father John Kim officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with the rosary being recited at 7pm.
