Charles Kaiser

December 24, 1917 — May 25, 2013

Charles Otho Kaiser, 95, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, May 25, 2013.

Charles was born on December 24, 1917, the son of the late Otho G and Mary Ruth Young Kaiser. He graduated from Killeen High School in 1934. He was a life long member of the Nolanville Church of Christ, remaining active as an elder until the age of 93. Charles, along side his brother Ned, was a steward for the Nolanville Church of Christ Encampment every summer for over 50 years. His love of God, family and community were his driving passion.

Charles served as a mortar gunner in the US Army during WWII from 19411945. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge, the deadliest and most desperate battle of the war. He recieved the Combat Infantry Badge, Victory Ribbon American Defense Service Medal, American Theatre Campaign Medal, EAME Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, One Service Stripe and One Overseas Service Bar.

Upon returning home from the war he purchased, along with his brothers, a ranch on 439 and began farming and ranching with his brother Ned. He loved his Hereford cattle, bailing hay and mending fences. He worked as a US Postmaster in Nolanville, Texas for 23 years until his retirement.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Blanche Kaiser on September 28, 2001 siblings Wilson Gus Kaiser in 1978, Ned Young Kaiser in 2011 and Eleanor Ann Segrest on April 15, 2013.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his sisterinlaw Mildred Kaiser of Temple, stepchildren James Carter and Eileen Crisford, grandson Randall Charles Decker, granddaughter Kasey Lynn Weston, greatgranddaughter Rachel Ann Weston and greatgrandson Samuel Lee Weston.

Services will be held Wednesday at 12:00 pm at the Nolanville Church of Christ, Nolanville, Texas with Joe Baisden officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nolanville, Texas.
