Graveside services for Charles Edwin Roberts, 80, of Temple will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at North Belton Cemetery with Chaplain Allen K. Lowe officiating.
Mr. Roberts passed away Sunday, April 5 at his home.
Charles was born March 27, 1935 in Denver, Texas to Cecil E. and Maxine Roberts. He attend and graduated school in Lyford, Texas. Charles joined the U.S. Air Force, he retired after 21 years of service. He served in Vietnam and the Korean Conflict as a military policeman. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Cluster and the Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon with 4 Oak Leaf Cluster. He also earned a Military Education Criminology degree. On July 14, 1962 he married Barbara Nan East in Primera, Texas. Charles was the owner of Robbie's Roost in Morgan's Point and a Lifetime member of the VFW Post #4008 of Belton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Maxine Roberts; and a sister, Gay Britt.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Nan Roberts of Temple; a daughter, Terri L. Martinez of Temple; a son, Jamie S. Roberts of Dandridge, TN and a daughter, Jill Decker of Belton; one sister, Jodie Johnson; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
