Charles Townsend

Charles P. Townsend, age 84 of Belton, passed from this life Thursday, August 4, 2022. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Bartlett Cemetery.

Charles was born on March 13, 1938, to Charles and Opel Townsend in Bartlett, Texas. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Charles was a giving and charitable man. He was also a loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; and stepdaughter, Jeanie Perry.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Ethel Townsend; stepdaughter, Suellen Campbell; brother, Garland Townsend and wife, Diane; granddaughter, Marci Campbell; grandson, Matt Grimmer; nephew, Paul Townsend; and great grandchildren, Tremar Kindle, Aalyiah Kindle, and Ivy Sims.
