Chester Leon Kirby, age 60 of Belton, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
Mr. Kirby was born January 14, 1960 to Tommie Eugene and Darlene (Clinard) Kirby in Belton, Texas. He worked as a truck driver for Werner Enterprise for 19 years. He was a member of the Anchor of Hope Fellowship in Belton.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie and Darlene; and brother, Tommie Lee.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Eve Kirby; children, Sarah and husband, Jeff Vander Putten, and Chester Kirby Jr.; and step-children, Andrew, Katie, Deanna, Chris, Mary, and Jimmy; siblings, Darla Kirby, Donald and Darla Kirby, Nancy Sigers, Velva and Charlie Johnson, William and Lisa Kirby, and Barbara Jean Howerton and husband, Virgil; and 9 grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held from 10-11 am Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
