Clyde Capps

October 1, 1921 — April 25, 2013

On April 25, 2013 Clyde Capps of Salado passed away with family by his side. He was 91 years old. Clyde was born on October 1, 1921 in Salado, Texas to A.W. and Sally Elizabeth Proctor Capps. He married Wilma Virginia Hodge on November 7, 1942 in Belton, Texas. Their 64 years of marriage were spent in Salado where he was a homebuilder, farmer and rancher, a lifelong member of the Salado United Methodist Church where he served on the Administrative Board and was Treasurer for many years. He was a School Board Trustee for Salado and Bell County School districts and served his country in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his 2 daughters, Elizabeth Capps Foster Bullock of Houston and Virginia Capps Cosper and husband Cecil Cosper of Salado 3 grandchildren, Lanna Domangue and husband Scott Domangue of Austin, Janna Russell of Houston, Jenny Medlin and husband Jason Medlin of Salado 6 greatgrandchildren, Derek Russell, Taylor Domangue, Collin Russell, Nicole Domangue, Colby Medlin and Trace Medlin.

Services will be at 2:00PM, Monday, April 29, 2013 at Salado United Methodist Church at the Historic Chapel with Reverend Grady Brittain and Travis Franklin officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Scott Domangue, Jason Medlin nephew, Arthur Wade Capps, cousin Howell Otis Cearley, Jr., friends Ryon Dunlap, Don Engleking, Juan De La Hoya and Dennis Medlin. Burial will be in the Salado Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Heartfield Funeral Home, 503 N. Main, Belton, Texas 76513 on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 68 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salado United Methodist Church Endowment Fund P.O. Box 771, Salado, Texas 76571 and the Methodist Home, 1111 Herring Ave, Waco, Texas 76708.
