David Neuwirth of Belton, born in 1950 in Waco to Seymour and Esther Greenspan Neuwirth, passed away on September 9, 2013. He was a graduate of Richfield High School and Baylor University, moving to the Temple and Belton area in 1980. He worked in the construction business as CFO and company owner before his retirement in 2006. David married Glynda Hubbard in 1973.
Despite years of poor health beginning in his twenties with kidney failure, dialysis, transplants and eventual openheart surgery, he never complained. He was always more concerned about his wife and beloved daughters, Tamara and Tabitha, putting their feelings and wellbeing ahead of his own. The last challenge of his life, gastric cancer, was insurmountable.
David lived an active life outside his business ventures. He enjoyed flying his Cessna, road trips with the family, dozing cedars, and fourwheeling around the family land with his Border Collie. He is survived by his loving wife, daughters, motherinlaw K. McMinn, and future soninlaw Michael Egbert, all of Belton, and his sister, Dr. Carolyn Neuwirth, of Georgetown.
Visitation is Wednesday evening from 6:008:00 pm at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton, with graveside services at North Belton Cemetary on Thursday, September 12, at 1:00 pm. Rabbi Laura Harari will be officiating.
