Dawnella Carter, age 55 of Temple, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at her home. Services will be at 10 am Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Temple.
Dawnella was born on December 27, 1965 to Donald and Elizabeth Stepp in San Mateo, California. She graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper, WY. Dawnella married Gerald “Rob” Carter on March 14, 1985. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed taking care of, teaching and spending time with her children. She was active in her community, especially the local Home School Community. Dawnella loved to give and serve. She was known for playing Mother Goose at the Temple Mall and at the Temple and Belton Public Libraries as well as playing Ms. Claus at the mall. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Temple.
Dawnella is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Elizabeth Stepp; and sister, Patricia Lester.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, Gerald “Rob” Carter; son, Matthew Carter and wife, Fallon; daughters, Calista Carter, Nicole Carter, Amanda Carter, and Sarah Carter; and granddaughter, Madelyn Carter.
Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of arrangements.
