Donald Moncrief

Donald Lee Moncrief, 80, of Morgan's Point went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016. He passed away at home with his family at his side.
Donald was born to Hubert and Lucille Moncrief in Temple on July 27, 1935. Donald married Ida Lorine Hatley on July 16, 1954. Together they had four children, Debra, Ronnie, Mary and Patty. Donald was in the sign business all of his life. He worked with his dad, Temple Signs, and Belco Signs before opening his business, Don's Sign Service. After retiring he and Lorine moved to Lake Limestone. Due to health reasons they moved back to Belton where they were close to family. Donald's love of hunting and fishing always brought the family together. He always made sure he had a place for them to enjoy.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronnie; sisters, Doris Cast, Charlotte Myhre and Peggy Bird; and a grandson, Scott Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Lorine; daughters, Debra Simecek and husband Dennis, Mary Smith and husband Bobby, and Patty Casper; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton.
