Services for Donald Eugene Thweatt, 80, of Salado will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Heartfield Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Ferrell officiating. Private interment will be a Pebble Grove in Maysfield, TX.
Born on September 10, 1933 to the late Thomas Gilford and Loriene Alma Plentl Thweatt in Cameron. He graduated from Yoe High School in Cameron and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Belton.
He died Saturday afternoon at his home in Salado surrounded by his family.
On November 2, 1956 he married Shirley Don Farmer in McGregor. He spent over 27 years in law enforcement, eight years as a Constable, fourteen years as a Game Warden and the last 5 years as a Bell County Sherriffs Deputy, He owned and operated the Belton Livestock Auction for 12 years and helped with the Crippled Childrens Auction for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shirley Don Thweatt of Salado two daughters, Donna Karen Lisenbe of Moody, Kimberly Karol Bolton of Robinson four grandsons and ten great grandchildren.
