Funeral services for Donna Sue Hendricks, 61, of Belton will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton. Rev. Jay Thomas will be officiating.
She passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at a local hospital.
Donna was born January 30, 1954 in Orange to Everett H. and Aline (Comeaux) Hendricks. She graduated from Belton High School. Donna worked for the USDA-NRCS Temple office as a cartographic technician for over 20 years.
Some people know donna as being harsh spoken, head strong, bossy and always wanted things her way. And that's true But i know how big of a heart she had. She always helped everyone rather if it was a place to stay food to eat or clothes to keep warm.
She was always there when family members were hospitalized or recovering at her house or theirs never asking for anything in return. But i am most proud of her for taking care of mom for all these years. She made sure mom kept all her doctors appointments. Took her meds and made sure she ate and was comfortable. Some of her last words were Make sure mom is taken care of.
She was dedicated to her job and was a very hard worker always early and ready to start. I will defiantly miss her sending me an instant message asking "you ready"? That meant lets go on break.
She loved bingo and was a very familiar face to American Legion post 133 .she also loved scratch offs and lottery. Always thinking some day I am going to win big.
She is survived by her son, Shane Gauthier of Orange; her mother, Aline Hendricks of Belton; 3 sisters, Beverly Kaye Sanders, Patricia Goodwin and Neta Faye Kolls all of Belton; and a half-sister, Nila Jean Campbell of Saratoga.
