Belton Funeral services for Dora Elia Javens will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, November 21, 2014 at HaperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton. Father Clay Hunt will be officiating.
Mrs. Javens passed away November 18th at a local hospital.
Dora was born on March 6, 1941 in Del Rio to the late Ignacio and Enedina Velasquez Chavez. Dora was a retired elementary school teacher having taught in Cotulla for 12 years and in Bracketville. Dora had lived in Belton since 2006. She was Catholic.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, James Javens 2 daughters, Jennifer Letts and Melissa Waters one brother, Ignacio Nick Chavez III one sister, Veronica ChavezHernandez and 5 grandchildren.
The family will have a gathering with prayers and a mariachi band on Saturday, November 22nd from 11:00 am 3:00 pm at the funeral home chapel.
Services have been entrusted to HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Belton.
