Doris Cox

Belton Funeral Services for Doris Nell Cox, 76, of Belton will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Jay Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Youngsport.
Mrs. Cox passed away Thursday at her home.
Doris was born on May 17, 1938 in Moffat to the late Robert Lee and Helen Gould Schaffer Cowen, Sr. She was President of the Ladies Auxiliary at VFW Post 4008 and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Jarrell. Doris was also a member of the D.A.V. She was a lifelong resident of the area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Johnson 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include 2 sons, Joe W. Cox of Hampton, VA and James M. Cox of Nolanville 1 daughter, Sherry L. Cox McDaniel of Salado 7 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Monday from 6:008:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
