Dorothy "Loe Rine" Pemberton

Dorothy “Loe Rine” Selby Pemberton, 89 of Schertz formerly of Belton, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at Lopez Assisted Living with Reliant At Home Hospice Care in San Antonio, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 10 am Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, Texas with Dr. David Miracle officiating.

Dorothy was born November 26, 1932, in Silver Point, Tennessee and grew up in Tennessee and Indiana. She married Arthur B. Pemberton in 1951 in Richmond, Indiana. Her hobbies mirrored her work as she believed in service for others and was often found ministering to someone recovering from health issues. She was an active member of the Church of Christ and attended many bible studies.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Pemberton; daughter, Ritha Ladina; brother, WJ; brother, Ron; brother, Frank; and sister, Margie Ruth.

Survivors include daughter, Robin Spalding (husband Ron); son, Gerald Pemberton; son, Gaylon Pemberton (wife Laura); son, Harry Pemberton (wife Hedy); son, H. Curtiss Pemberton (wife Pam); daughter, Reine Guillemette (husband Pete); son, Arthur M. Pemberton (wife Kathy); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the International Elephant Foundation and the World Wildlife Fund.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of arrangements.
