Earnest Davis

Services for Earnest Ray Davis, 78, of Belton will be held at a later date in Paragould, AR.
Mr. Davis died Thursday, May 21 at his home.
He was born September 27, 1936, to Willie and Birtha (McMillin) Davis in Green County, Ar. On October 28, 1961, he married Wilma Miller, she preceded him in death on April 14, 2012. He retired from the US Army and later worked as a nurse at the VA Hospital from 1983-2000. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Nicole Davis of Belton; a son, Earnest Ray Davis II of Austin; a sister, LaFaye Jane Butts of Mississippi; a grandson, Alexander Jared Davis and a great-granddaughter, Lyla Younts-Davis.
Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of local arrangements.
