Belton Services for Edward F. Ed Miller, 84, of Belton Lake will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Belton with Bro. Andy Davis officiating.
Ed passed away Saturday, December 6th at a local hospital.
He was born on May 13, 1930 to Rayburn Miller and Bess Patterson Miller. He graduated from Troy High School. Ed was in the turkey business with his dad before entering the Air Force in January 1951. Most of his time in the Air Force was spent in England. He returned to Troy on December 20, 1954 to farm and look after his cattle.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belton and the Joy Sunday School Class. Ed married Frances Johnson in 1971.
Preceding him in death are his parents his first wife, Mary Lee Vine Miller his brother, Pat Miller and his sister, Mary Lou Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Frances his nephew, Jim Pat and wife Betty of Fort Worth 3 nieces, Sherry Miller of Italy, Jamie Miller of Houston and Susie Thomas and husband Freddie of Eastland also his extended family, Boady Johnson and wife Jerry of Holland and their 5 children and Bill Johnson and wife Judy of Cedar Park.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:002:00 pm prior to the service at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Belton. The body will be cremated and burial will be held at a later date.
