Eleberta "Betty" Guajardo

Belton-Graveside services for Eleberta "Betty" Guajardo, 94, 0f Belton will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at North Belton Cemetery with Fred Rodriguez officiating.

She passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 at her home.

She was born March 16, 1925 in Chapel Hill, Texas to the late Bacillio and Juanita (Perez Martinez) Mata. She married Nieves Guajardo, Sr. on November 19, 1955 in The Grove. She was a lifelong resident of Bell County and a member of Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Temple. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and taking care of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Nieves Guajardo, Sr.

Survivors include 3 sons, Nieves Guajardo, Jr. and wife Virginia, David Guajardo, and Rudy Guajardo and wife Sandra; and a daughter, Mary Mendez and husband Oscar, Sr., all of Belton. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
