Elizabeth Mccaskill

Elizabeth Ellen Dunn McCaskill, 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Graveside services for Elizabeth will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, Texas, with Mark Fletcher officiating. The family will greet visitors at the graveside, both before and after the services.

Elizabeth was born on November 6, 1937 in Merit, Texas to Raymond William and Era Olive Bostick Dunn. She grew up in Greenville, Texas, where she met and married her husband, Bobby Don McCaskill on August 16, 1957.

Elizabeth retired from the Texas Child Protective Services in McKinney, Texas. During her retirement years, she worked part-time at J.C. Penney Co. in Plano, Texas. Elizabeth was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in McKinney, Texas, where she played the organ for many years.

Elizabeth deeply loved her Lord, her family and her friends.

Elizabeth is survived by her children - a daughter, Rene' Murray, of Belton; son, Keith McCaskill and his wife, Kerri, of Woodcreek; and son, Jeff McCaskill and his wife, Christel, of Van Alstyne; by her grandchildren, Melody Robins Birdsong (and her husband, Patrick), Bryant Murray, Tanner Burke (and his wife, Brittney), Michelle McCaskill Rucker (and her husband, Ryan), Kelsey Robins McCain (and her husband, Steven), Nicole McCaskill, Colin McCaskill, BreAnna McCaskill and Grayson McCaskill; and by her great-grandchildren, Tyler Rucker, Jean Bell Birdsong, and Eli Rucker. She is also survived by her brother, Marshall Dunn and his wife, Sara, of Sulphur Springs; her brother-in-law, Max McCaskill and his wife, Pat, of Athens; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, their parents and son-in-law, Lee Murray.

Granny's honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren, Melody Robins Birdsong, Bryant Murray, Tanner Burke, Michelle McCaskill Rucker, Kelsey Robins McCain, Nicole McCaskill, Colin McCaskill, BreAnna McCaskill and Grayson McCaskill.
