Enriqueta Salazar

Belton

A mass of Christian celebration for Mrs. Enriqueta Rios Salazar, 95, of Belton, will be held 10:30 AM Monday, June 17, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton. A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 7 PM Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church Christus Center with a rosary recited at 7 PM in the church sanctuary.

Mrs. Salazar passed from this life on June 12, 2019. Enriqueta Rios Salazar was born September 10, 1923, to Severino and Felipa Rodriguez Rios, in Zaragoza, Mexico.  She moved to Belton in 1952 and had been a part of the community since.

Enriqueta loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.  She was very active in the church as a Guadalupana and the Women’s Ministry.  She was a talented seamstress and known as the cake lady extraordinaire.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Victor Valdez Salinas and Marcelo Salazar; brother, Severino Rios, Jr.; three sisters, Elvira Cervantes, Eva Rios, and Estela England.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her two sons, Tony Valdez and Victor Valdez Salazar; two daughters, Mary Ashworth and Ana Ramirez; 3 brothers and 5 sisters, Francisca Munoz, Heriberto Rios, Sr., Pedro Rios, Sr., Hilda Fuentes, Edmundo Rios, Sr., Marta Mendoza, Irma Arredondo, and Felipita Guerra; eleven grandchildren, Tony Valdez, Jr., David Lance Valdez, Elizabeth Valdez, Angelica Valdez, Sonia Quintero, Michelle Salazar, Julie Amalfi, Amanda Martinez, Sergio Ramirez, Sara Ramirez, and Emilio Ramirez; thirteen great grandchildren, Tony Valdez, III, Mikaela Valdez, Dashel Valdez, Fiona Valdez, Krislyn Munoz, Andrea Quintero, Ava Quintero, Hannah Amalfi, Summer Amalfi, Gary Williams, III, Abigail Martinez, Amelia Ramirez, and Ava Ramirez; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other beloved family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Park Place Manor and Kindred Hospice.

Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church Women’s Ministry.
