Funeral services for Eric Anderson Romberg, 78, of Holland are set for 11:00 A.M. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Salado with Jim Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood.
Eric was born on August 14, 1934 to the late Louis D. and Hilda Anderson Romberg at Austin. His family developed over 50 varieties of pecans for the USDA in the Brownwood area.
Eric was in the US Navy Reserve and worked for the Douglas Aircraft Company and Boeing International writing training manuals on how to fly aircraft.
He married Sharron Rau on November 9, 1974 in Seattle, WA and later moved to Holland and owned and operated their pecan orchard there.
Eric died Sunday morning in an area care center.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sharron of Holland a brother, Conrad Romberg of Whidbey Island, WA a step brother, Fred twostep sisters, Hilda and Trudy and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6 8 pm Thursday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.
