Ethan Gregg Phillips passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at his home in Harker Heights, Texas. Ethan's funeral service will be Monday, March 12, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton, Texas at 1:00 pm.
Ethan is survived by his Dad, Keith Davis and Step-mom, Tammy Davis from Big Rock, Tennessee, his sisters; Amberlyn Russell and her husband Chris Russell from Colorado Springs, Colorado; Sara Davis and Kevin Snyder and their boys, Kadin and Koltin, from Killeen, Texas. Girlfriend Staci Quick, from Harker Heights. Grandparents Tom and Marie O'Neal from Temple, Texas, Uncles, Nick Moore from Temple, Texas and Robert Davis from Elgin, Texas. Father, Marc Gregg Phillips from Arizona. Deceased mother Vicky Moore Davis Peacock, and deceased Grandparents Cleo and Faye Troxell who were from Killeen, Texas.
Ethan spent many happy hours being at the lake with his family in their boat skiing and swimming. When Ethan was 4 years old "The Real Santa Claus" came to our house to visit with him and his older sister, Amberlyn. They had just left the house to look at Christmas lights as it was Christmas Eve and they both knew he was on his way. They did not get back to actually see him……….
In his middle years, he played the trumpet in the band, where his Dad said he came home with a different dent in that trumpet every day. He also bleached his hair blond during the years he played football. His family always went to the games and watched him play while at the same time his big sister Amberlyn, being a cheerleader, cheered him on.
Ethan attended Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas. Billy Brash, Edward McQuade, and Austin Gonzales are lifelong friends that grew up together burning up the streets of Killeen.
He moved to Denton, Texas along with Billy and Edward where they lived with Connie Greeley and worked at a restaurant. Connie was a blessing in his short life.
After doing construction work and working in restaurants, he finally settled on his favorite job of being the best bartender he could be with his beaming smile as well as infectious good humor and attitude. O'Malley's in Killeen Texas being his favorite bar to tend. Ethan never met a stranger, because everyone was a friend.
