Graveside services with military honors for Floyd T. Spindle 86, of Belton, are set for 10:00 am Tuesday at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Rev. Betty Malone officiating.
Mr. Spindle died Monday morning in an area hospital.
Floyd was born on September 20, 1926 at Wichita Falls to the late Carroll T. and Emma Ella Krueger Spindle. He married Joyce Dishongh and attended college at Southwest Texas university, Texas AI, and Texas AM University. He served in WWII in the United States Navy. For over 50 years he was a supervisor for the Celanese Chemical Corporation in Bishop, Texas.
Floyd was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy Lynn Spindle and Robin Kay Spindle two brothers, Melvin Spindle and Albert Spindle, a sister, Helen Yarbrough
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Spindle of Belton a son, Shawn Spindle of Austin two grandchildren, Marcus Floyd Spindle of Austin, Erin Jordon Spindle of San Diego, CA a great grandson, Zoe Spindle of Pipe Creek.
The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 8 9 am at the funeral home.
