Frances Stephanie Essig

Frances Stephanie (Fesuk) Essig, age 77 of Belton, passed from this life Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton.

Frances was born on January 27, 1947, to Steve and Nell (Gill) Fesuk in Worcester, Massachusetts. She received her master’s degree from the Otis Institute and was a teacher for Killeen I.S.D. for many years. Frances was a kind and gentle person who was an artist and an animal lover. She often rescued and took in kittens and helped them find forever homes. She loved going to church and was a devout member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a member of the Mary Queen of the Rosary Society. She donated to a high school scholarship and would often donate to Christ the King Church, and to rev. Joseph Misari with the Missionaries of Hope to help the less fortunate. Frances was also a lector and a Eucharistic minister. She was a constant encourager and a good friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

Frances is preceded in death by her mother, Nell, and husband, Stephen Essig.

Survivors include her father, Steve Fesuk, and brother, Steve Fesuk Jr.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Bell County, and to the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in College Station.

A special thank you goes out to her dedicated friends, Janice and Perry Nelson, Eva Bright, and Esmeralda Guzman-Garcia, who ministered to her during the last year and a half of her life.

A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 pm, Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
