Genevra Hickerson

A funeral service for Genevra Charline Hickerson, 93, of Belton will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 10:00 am at Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel in Belton, burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery. Rev. Steve Vaughn will be officiating.

Charline was born on October 10, 1920 in Belton to Charles and Genevera Strange Hickerson. She was a lifetime resident of Bell County and graduated from Academy High School. She attended Mary Hardin Baylor College for one year, then attended T.S.C.W. now T.W.C. in Denton for one year. Charline was a dental assistant at Fort Hood for one year then transferred to the V.A. Hospital in Temple for the rest of her 33 year professional career. Charline was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church. She was very active in church and community affairs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Sheridan Hickerson and Byron Hickerson, and one sister, Gaylen Boales.

Survivors include one brother, Charles Mac Hickerson of Belton and one sister, Hazel Ann Blue of Kingwood, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors Monday, November 11th from 6:008:00 PM at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.
