Gerald Steckler

No services are planned for Gerald "Jerry" E. Steckler, 71, of Troy. He passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at a local care facility. He will be cremated and his final resting place will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton with his parents.
Jerry was born on July 8, 1947 in Germany to Paul and Johanna (Wank) Steckler. He graduated from Belton High School and attended Temple Junior College. Jerry proudly served our country with the US Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was self-employed as a flooring installer. He married Darline Anderson in 1975.
Jerry enjoyed listening to music and watching the Dallas Cowboys, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Johanna Steckler and his former wife, Darline Anderson Steckler.
Survivors include his son, Rick Anderson; a grandson, Ricky Anderson and a great-granddaughter, Khole Anderson.
Services have been entrusted to Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
