Harley Grimm Ii

SMSgt Harley L. Grimm, II., USAF (Ret) age 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2015 in Austin, Texas after a lengthy illness.

Harley was born on October 29, 1945 in Canton, OH, to Harley and Mildred Grimm.

He was a retired Air Force veteran, serving 23 years with a primary focus on conventional avionics/electronics maintenance and technology and achieving the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He also served 16 years with the City of Austin thereafter, working for the Austin Police Department and Emergency Medical Services.

He is survived by his daughter, Maj Jessica Grimm, USAFR and husband, John Nguyen of San Antonio, TX; mother, Mildred Grimm of Salado, TX; sister, Gayla Grimm-Fogle and husband, Michael Fogle of Los Alamos, NM; niece, Blythe Fogle of Los Alamos, NM; and two grandchildren, Skylar and Easton Nguyen of San Antonio, TX.

Harley was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, A-Yueh Lucy Grimm of Pflugerville, TX; and father, Col. Harley Grimm, USAF (Ret) of Salado, TX.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Belton will be conducting a graveside service with military honors on Monday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Salado Cemetery. A brief reception will follow.
