Helen Thompson

Funeral services for Helen Christine Thompson, 74, of Temple will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 8 at Heartfield Funeral Home with Rev. Mattie Lee Cox and Rev. Jackie Cox officiating. Interment will follow at North Belton Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson died Friday at her home.

Helen was born to Ernest and Flossie Alice Jones Russell on October 11, 1938 in Early. She married Vergil Lee Thompson, Sr. On October 20, 1955 in Brownwood. Helen was a sales representative for Avon for 30 years.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband one daughter, Joyce Housewright four sisters, Bobby Trumbell, Estelle Latimer, Inez McInnis, Pauline Parnell two brothers, Harry Gene Russell, Alton Russell.

Survivors include three sons, Harold R. Thompson of Temple, Willard D. Thompson of Heidenheimer, Vergil Lee Thompson, Jr. Of Temple one daughter, Cheryl Ann Thompson of Temple one brother, Joe Russell of San Angelo one sister, Evelyn Satterfield of Blum twelve grandchildren fourteen greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 pm Monday at the funeral home.
