Helen Mae (Beech) Bruton, age 57 of Belton, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at home. Services will be held at 4 pm Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton.
Helen was born December 12, 1962 to Don Beech and Barbara Dickerson in Okinawa Japan, Ryukyu Islands. She worked at Clem Mikeska’s Bar-B-Q in Belton and her smile will be missed by not only her work family but by her customers who loved her dearly. She enjoyed camping, gardening, and always took such pride in her ironing. She had a soft spot for all animals but especially loved her cats and ducks. She liked to relax by going fishing with friends and family and could spend all day in and around the water. She was artistic and crafty and liked to have different arts and crafts projects to do. Lots of things brought her joy but her greatest love was her “6-pack” of G Kids: Jessie, K.K., Taz, Cookie, Alien, and DJ. She will be greatly missed by so many that treasured her.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughter, Stephanie Beech; daughter, Amanda Bennett; sister, Lelonie Sanders; sister, Korina Thomas; brother, Donald Beech; brother, Thomas Ward; G Kids, Jessika Beech, Kaylah Beech, Jakob Beech, Maranda Bennett, Tony Bennett, and Daniel Biego; and great-granddaughter, Lorilei Rose O’Connor.
If Roses Grow in Heaven
If roses grow in heaven
Lord please pick a bunch for me
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her
and when she turns to smile
Place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for a little while.
Because remembering her is easy
I do it everyday
But there’s an ache in my heart
that will never go away.
