James Lee Briscoe, age 69 of Belton, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at his home. Services will be Saturday, January 23, 2021 at North Belton Cemetery in Belton; visitation will begin at 11 am at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton; and a graveside service will follow at 12 noon.
James was born on June 6, 1951 to William and June (Perry) Briscoe in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended Texas Tech University and married Doris Genease Mitchell. James worked for AT & SF and BNSF Railroad. In his spare time, James enjoyed woodworking and fishing but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed by so many that knew and loved him.
James is preceded in death by his parents, William and June Briscoe.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Doris Briscoe; daughter, Laura Arevalo and husband, Chris; daughter, Amanda Bronniman and husband, Justin; son, Josh Briscoe and wife, Buffie; sister, Nancy Martin; sister, JoAnne Hatcher; sister, Kathy Fields; granddaughter, Eliana Arevalo; granddaughter, Skyler Bronniman; granddaughter, Hallie Briscoe; and grandson, Gavin Briscoe.
Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of arrangements.
