Jamie Forrest

Funeral services for Jamie Kelley Forrest, 97, of Belton will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Heartfield Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Copperas Cove City Cemetery with Navy Honors.

Mr. Forrest passed away Saturday at a local nursing home.

Jamie was born on February 6, 1915 in Bell County to Thomas and Bonnie Lee Kelley Forrest. He married Orba Denson Kelley on February 18, 1939 in Temple. Mr. Forrest served in the United States Navy during WWII and later in the Texas National Guards 36th Division.

Jamie was preceded in death by his wife one sister, Willie Lee Carpenter.
