Jane Montgomery

Jane Montgomery, 75, of Salado passed away on October 1, 2013 at a local hospital. A viewing will be held on Thursday October 3, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 at Heartfield Funeral Home with a service to be held on Friday October 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the 3C Cowboy Church in Salado with Pastor Alex Berrios officiating. Burial will be on Saturday October 5, 2013 at noon in Palestine at Roselawn Cemetery with Pastor Jason Bryant officiating.
Jane was born on August 1, 1938 in Borger, TX to Jimmy and Pauline Dent Alldredge. She married Joe Montgomery on August 28, 1982 in Houston. Jane worked at Transco for 26 years until her retirement in 1982. In recent years she has enjoyed volunteering at the Hope Pregnancy Center and Our Lady of the Angels Shelter. She was an avid bowler and belonged to the Womens Bowling Association for many years. She was very active in the 3C Cowboy Fellowship and enjoyed her weekly Round Pen Prayer meetings. She loved spending time with family and friends and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister in law Martha Alldredge.
Jane is survived by her husband Joe Montgomery of Salado daughter Donna Nesbitt of Houston son Don Nesbitt and wife Rita of Houston, their daughter Jennifer and son Anthony son Nicky Nesbitt and wife Renee of Sugar Land and their daughter Natalie and her son Jaxon son Johnnie Joe Montgomery of Ft. Worth son Larry Montgomery and wife Kari of Houston numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to either the 3C Cowboy Church, Our Lady of Angels Shelter, or a charity of your own choosing.
Heartfield Funeral Home is handling the local arrangements with Bailey and Foster Funeral Home handling the arrangements in Palestine.
