Jean George

Services for Jean Elizabeth George, 62 of Belton are set for 6:00 pm Wednesday at Heartfield Funeral home Chapel with Rev. Al Lowe officiating. A private family burial will be held Thursday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Jean was born on July 11, 1951 at Ruleville, Mississippi to the late Roger C. and Dollie Tyson DeWeese. She graduated for Salado High School and married Don George. Jean managed the cafeteria for Belton Independent School District for 15 years and then worked in customer service for Wal Mart for an additional 14 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Mrs. George died Sunday afternoon at her home in Belton.

Survivors include her husband, Don George of Belton two sons, Todd George of Belton, Shawn George of Massachusetts two daughters, Kerrie George of Massachusetts, Brandi Sweeden of Anchorage, Alaska three brothers, Roger L. DeWeese of Belton, James DeWeese of Dallas, Richard DeWeese of Albuquerque, NM, a sister, Beverly Ann Worlock of Seattle, WA and seven grandchildren.
