Jessie Guthrie

Services for Jessie Alice Taylor Guthrie, 55, of Belton are set for 10:00 am Thursday at Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arthur Washburn officiating. Interment will follow at North Belton Cemetery.

Mrs. Guthrie died Sunday morning at a local care center.

Jessie was born on December 25, 1957 at Waco to Ennis Miller and Katie Aline Rhymes Taylor. She attended Belton Public Schools and worked as a nurses aid at Crestview Manor in Belton from 1985 until 1998. She married Richard Guthrie on October 16, 1981 at Cameron.

Her mother Katie Maxwell and a brother David Louie Taylor preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years Richard Guthrie father, Ennis Taylor daughter, Tonya Brown one son, Jerry Thomas Burtchell, Jr. three brothers, William Miller Taylor, Ennis Lee Taylor, Robert Lee Maxwell three sisters, Mary Christine Coggin, Joyce Aline Crumm, Kathy Gwendolyn Smith seven grandchildren, Vickie Brown, Linda Brown, Jessie Brown, Tristan Burtchell, Izik Burtchell, Joseph Burtchell, Cheyanne Guthrie.

The family will receive friends from 68 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
