Jimmie Nell Jimmerson, devoted mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 78 on August 9, 2020 at her home in Harker Heights, Texas. Jimmie was born March 3, 1942 in Temple, Texas to Floris Scott Daniels and Erma Marie Krause. Jimmie graduated from Belton High School in 1960, attended one year of college, and married Jim Jimmerson in 1964. Although their marriage eventually dissolved, it gave her the two loves of her life, her sons Richard Scott Jimmerson and Steven Mark Jimmerson.
Jimmie worked at Sun Oil Company in Dallas, then TABS, a small business development center, before starting her own company, called Tidy Teams. This eventually led to her role as Director of Environmental Services at King’s Daughters Hospital in Temple, Texas, from where she retired.
Jimmie enjoyed life and cherished friendships, often getting together with high school classmates for lunch. She loved birdwatching, dragonflies, gardening, her dog Lexi, and cooking for family and friends. But most of all, Jimmie loved her sons and grandson.
Jimmie was preceded in death just hours by her son, Scott (Richard), and also by her mother, father, and brother Harold D. Daniels. Jimmie is survived by her son Steve (Steven), her grandson Jacob Scott Jimmerson, her dearest lifelong friend Dicksy Turner and many friends and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held for Jimmie and her son Scott at 3 pm Friday, Aug. 14, 2020 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton, Texas.
