Joan Warrick, age 86 of Belton, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Friday, July 30, 2021 at North Belton Cemetery in Belton, Texas with Bill Elliott officiating. Pallbearers will be Ty Warrick, Trey Warrick, Trever Warrick, Nathan Warrick, Kory Walker, and Jimmy Golden.
Joan was born on August 12, 1934 to Frank and Bonnie Baliek in Thorndale, Texas. She attended school at Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas. Joan married R.V. Warrick on March 15, 1952. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She loved hosting all the family gatherings at Christmas time. A true Central Texan, Joan worked at the Stagecoach Inn in Salado, the Holiday Inn in Temple, for 1st National Bank in Belton and especially enjoyed her time with the Smith family working at Smith Bros. Grocery in Belton. Joan retired at the age of 82. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bonnie Baliek; husband, R.V. Warrick; sister, Dorothy Burton; brother, Bill Baliek; son, Tony Warrick; and daughter, Leanette Walker.
Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her son, Jay Warrick and wife, Cindy; son-in-law, Mike Walker; daughter-in-law, Panzy Warrick; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Joan’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at the Mercy House in Temple.
