Joanna Bird

Services for Joanna Guinn Bird, 79, of Belton are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday at Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Reed and Rev. Brian West officiating. Interment will follow at North Belton Cemetery.

Mrs. Bird passed away Thursday morning at a local nursing home.

Joanna was born on May 31, 1934 to the late Luther Joe and Beulah Riley Guinn at McGregor. She married James Harlan Bird on September 9, 1950 in Moody and then moved to Belton from Clifton in 1960. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was a volunteer for Belton Family Welfare for many years.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, two sisters Velma Guinn Crelia and Ila Faye Guinn Weir and one brother, Lester Guinn.

Survivors include her three daughters and their husbands Brenda and Darrell Lisenbe of Belton, Donna and Jerry Gregory of Belton, Deborah and Mark Lawrence of Belton a brother, Charles Guinn 14 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 68 pm Friday at Heartfield Funeral Home.
